Tiptronic without Sports Chrono
Tiptronic without Sports Chrono
Please correct me if I am wrong?
The sport button on a Tip equipped "S" Carrera just sharpens up the throttle response and shift points...?
I was told by a couple of the dealers that the 0 to 60 times and 1/4 mile times are the same with or without the Sports Chrono package on a Tip car. They also told me that putting the Tip in manual mode pretty much does the same thing?
This is not the case for the new PDK cars where the car is quicker with the Sports Chrono pack.
Thanks!

I believe your first statement is true . . . throttle response & shift points. Put the tranny in manual simply puts it in manual; no signal goes to the DME to modify behavior.
Now, whether or not the 0 to 60 times are better (or worse) in or out of the 'Sport' mode is questionable.
