New toy and new to the forum...
I've enjoyed reading this forum for some time and finally can participate in it. After internally debating PDK vs. Manual, I decided to stick to my roots and buy an '08 Manual at a great price. I will save PDK for my next one!
Here are the specs:
Model: 997.1S
Color: GT Silver Metallic
Interior: Black Sport Seats
Options: Aero, Chrono, PSE, 19" Sport Wheels, Thicker Steering Wheel, Bose
Thing I like most: Push Button Exhaust
Thing I like least: Radio Presets show L-6, L-H, etc.
Fun Fact: Because Porsche was not making GT3s in '09, this car was special ordered and put on display in the 2008 SF Auto Show to show that you can make a C2S look like a GT3. If anyone went to the show (I did not), I would love to find a pic of it on the floor.

great...welcome and enjoy.
I basically did the same. I purchased a base C2 05 at a good price and will drive the heck out of it on and of the track. Then in a couple of years both my cars will be sold and I will go with the 997.2, maybe w/ a PDK.

Hi ntlgnt1:
Congrats to your new car and always have a safe drive. I guess that you bought the "new" 2008 from Carlsen Porsche. Excellent car. I have been there many, many times to have a look at it (since I live in Menlo Park). Very, very nice, the GT silver color.

Congrats and welcome!
I have to disagree with you on a small thing
The only think I hated about my PSE (also have to mention the tips) was that it was not loud all the time, I had the dealer fix that problem
Now the exhaust is loud all the time

Thanks all for the warm welcome...
bjandeleit: Yes, got it at Carlsen. Saw it and with 1.9% 60 month financing I just couldn't resist. It was a demo unit sold 'new' w/ ~150miles on it and full warranty. I'm bummed I missed the concours last Sunday at Carslen. Are you part of any Bay Area club?
sin911: Once warmed up, I pretty much drive around in 'sport' mode for the added throttle response and the exhaust. When cruising on the freeway listening to music or pulling into my neighborhood I like that I can put it in 'normal' mode for better fuel economy and less noise.
