Yep...BumperPlugs.com seems to be the best source. '911' in matte black is $27, silver is $99, and they'll paint it any factory color for $119. The 'S' logo ranges from $26-79.

I just picked up my black '06 C2S with the standard black 'Carrera' plus a red 'S' from the prior owner. I think I'm going to keep the red 'S' and switch out 'Carrera' for a silver '911'.

I just ordered the (matte) black '911' and (guards) red 'S' from Eric at BumperPlugs - who was most helpful. steph280's avatar looks great and I hope I can reproduce it.

Wow, I never thought so many of you would like what I did but I'm glad to see it's catching on.

Question

Hasn't it always been a factory option at order to have "911" instead of "Carrera"?

I love the basic 911

If it were mine I would just leave the 911, but I also think it looks cool with the S.

I would like to know this for sure: Is it a factory option?

I know debadging is, and I woudl like to debadge it, but for some reason would only debadge an S. If I debadge my non-S car I feel people will think Im trying to pass it of as th ebetter car or that Im ashamed its the bottom car in the line-up.

I don't see the "911" badge as an option in the US Car configurator on the Porsche website but it's there on the websites for other countries like Germany, UAE, etc. You'll find it in the same section as the "Delete model designation" option and the item number is "911".

The only time I have any problems with badges is when they are not true to the car. A GT3 badge on a C2 is just stupid. But since they are all 911 i dont see any problem and plan on getting just the black 911 when i finally find the right p-car.
