I'm looking at a 997S with an Apr 2005 build date. Does anybody know if the car would have the updated nav (plays mp3s) and more importantly, the updated IMS? Prior threads indicate the IMS was updated in mid-2005. I don't know if this was late enough. Thanks for the help...

 

If the PCM has the slot for a phone SIM and the phone button chances are it's the hardware version that supports MP3 formatted discs. No big deal if it isn't since you can add a Dension or some other device that has IPOD connectivity and PCM screen/button control.

Can't help you on the IMS date.
