997.1 PCM - Line/Aux in?

Hi folks ... I'm about to purchase a used 2007 (woot, more on that later) but in the mean time, I'm researching the various accessories I might need to get for that car.

Right now I'm looking at getting a Garmin 885t for the voice control and bluetooth support for my iPhone 3GS, as well as the superior nav ... but I would like the audio from the Garmin to go to the car speakers. Does the PCM in these models have some sort of auxiliary input for sound?

No they dont unfortunately. You need a PCM 3.0 which is available on the 997.2 cars. You can go aftermarket with a Dennison unit or something of the same ilk. You can check with Suncoast Porsche or Bumperplugs they sell such units. They arent quite perfect integration but they are darn close.Dave

This is the setup that you need .

Dension IceLink iPod® Integration & DENSION Bluetooth Integration Kit. I would recommend contacting Eric @ Bumperplugs. He is the man when it comes to I-Pod and bluetooth integration for the PCM.

+1 for Bumper-plugs and Dension. And while you are at it, get some clear corners too!
