I was on a parkway last night when some xenon's came up REAL fast in my rear view. I switched lanes and a blacked out 08/09 M3 flew by me with the SICKEST exhaust I have EVER heard! I was in love! Both pulled over and talked a bit, hes over 450hp with some SSSIICCCKKK mods!! Did a 15mph roll on and I pulled away every gear! I let off with about 2 car lead! MAN THAT FELT AMAZING! I thought I was going to get killed with what was in that thing! Everyday I get surprised by this car! Just had to get this out there since everyone always raves about the new M3! im sure you all know the feeling!!

Did he have Double Clutch on his car?

 

non S, just a C2. I do believe he had the double clutch (SMG i guess its called, right?)

 

That is quite surprising actually Man I want to test my car with an M3 now...

 

Really? You sure he was giving it full throttle? Just asking cause that car with 450 hp should pull on yours. He has 125 hp on you and can shift faster. I know he weighs more, but that is a big power differential.

 

Called DCT. Unless he had an older car with SMG. If it was 08, could have been MT.

Either way, even with an MT, something sounds off about this. I would think a stock e90 M3 would hang pretty close with 997.2 c2. It just wouldn't look nearly as beautiful doing it.

Where was this? Public roads? Maybe his "this ain't such a good idea to be doing this here - especially at night" kicked in early?

 

definitely not... he was the one who started the whole thing! I was quite surprised as well especially after he told me what he had done with the car! My car is the 997, not the 997.2

 

I'm suspect of this too - I have a C6 with headers, intake and corsas and I have a stock 997S and the Vette would not only pull the Porsche it would literally blow it up - I can't imagine the M3's weight makes up for the HP difference

 

I was on a C6's tail the other day and he could not shake me for anything! Silver C6 with blacked out taillights with those tacky chrome rings around them! My car is anything but stock! I would have thought that the C6 would have pulled on me, but he couldn't shake me at all!

 

How so? If it's not stock, then what have you done to it to make it faster?

Even so, I still think you just have more ***** on public roads than these guys do. The Vette's got what - 100lbs maybe over the 997.1 and almost another 100hp to pull it?

 

You sure there's not a supercharger under your hood?
