pslowey is infamous around these parts
sport muffler on '07 997

it appears as though the sport muffler is stuck on the "on" position even when the button is in the "off" position. and getting louder?

i've been driving the car for a couple of months since buying it from a friend of a friend. it has just over 20k miles and is cherry, otherwise.

any thoughts out there?

your actuators that control the butterfly valves are most likely either rusted or just shot. dealer replaced both my exhausts free of charge under warranty. good luck.

Mike is right - warranty will cover it. However, are you sure that you don't want them 'stuck open'?

I would suspect that the power to the actuator valve at back of motor has been lost. With no power, it defaults to loud position. Check your fuse and connections on the valve.
