All I know about a lease is that you want the lowest payments possible. Period. That is accomplished through the best possible combination of lowest price, lowest money factor and highest residual. My 2 cents.
With the super low interest rates you guys have access to I guess that makes some sense but I've always worked on the lowest residual I could afford as you're paying interest on the total amount borrowed so the quicker you pay off the principal the less interest you pay.

Maybe your leases work differently to ours.

I think it works the same. You are not paying more principal on a loan to pay it off more quickly, you are giving them more money on their car. A lease is best if you lease it and return it. If you are going to hold it and want to build equity, then you want a loan. You don't build equity in a lease, therefore you want the highest residual possible. Cars with very low resale lease very poorly; you get very high lease payments due to the low residuals. Leases are the trickiest to negotiate - you have 3 variables the dealer can screw you with, price, resid and money factor.

Got the car last week!

I have only put 300 miles on it, but it's simply heaven.

I didn't have my camera handy when I washed it, but I will post pics soon. The deal was accepted, but not until the afternoon of the delivery. I got an email from my sales associate recommending that I not over negotiate the deal.

That's like over eating your meal or under spending an hour! In other words...impossible!

I haven't taken it over 4500 revs yet. Call me old fashion but I'd like to get at least a 1000 miles on it before I let loose.

Thanks for all the help and feedback.

Finally - some pics

Sorry for the delay folks. She now has 750 miles
(I'm still pinching myself and I haven't even taken it over 5,000 rpms yet)

I put in mods4cars on advice of a board member and I am so relieved to have a drop down mirror in reverse now.

Thanks for all the help. This board has been great so far.

Best regards,
David

Looking at your seats picture it does not seem you have 'seat memory' option, do you?
If not - how did you make drop down mirror function to work?
