the sheet metal is the same width, and I think the S has a wider track because of the wider wheels. Only the C4s and turbo and Gt2 are wider in the metal! I wish my car was wider

Both have the same width, but due to the fact C2S is lower, it seems wider.

also 4 is wider. c2 all same. unless u r talking about 993 which is another story in itself

hi guys! just bought an 09 c4 on saturday (a few days ago). first porsche car after coming from a long line of benzos. ok. in the interest of being accurate - here are the 'width' stats from my 09 brochure. studied that badboy for weeks. know it verbatim. though had to consult the appendix for the specifics listed here:

911 carrera/911 carrera s/911 carrera cab/911carrera s cab: 71.18in

911 carrera 4/911 carrera 4s/911 carrera 4 cab/911 carrera 4s cab/911 targa 4/911 carrera 4s: 72.91in

ergo, all 4-wheel drive systems in the 911-line are 1.73 wider than non-4 wheel drive systems. therefore, it is the 4-wheel drive system that allows for the wide body look as opposed to the narrow body look.

cannot comment on turbo, or gt whatever.

nb: most fun and fastest thing i have ever owned. i'm a little afraid of it, i have to admit! and i have the 'smaller' 6 engine. oh, boy.

Sign up for the next driver's education event. A weekend on the track with an instructor and you'll be tossing that car through corners like a pro (Well, not really, but one weekend is enough to get you past the fear and on the road to safe speed).

It's also tons of fun and the biggest downside is that it will leave you feeling regretful that you didn't buy a 911 two or three benzos ago.
