Beauty is in the eye of the beholder gentlemen and ladies...I happen to agree that this looks like an unfinished job, it's too rough for this car. But, then again, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. if you Like it, Congrats! and enjoy it.. 
I am sorry, I may be in the minority, but I think it looks like a car with primer and no finished paint job. Perhaps I am biased. When I was growing up there were many cars driving around in primer, black, gray, etc, because the owner could not afford to have the car sprayed. I am sure you have a different perspective, but it is just hard for me to see it any other way.
