How much Smoke is OK???

Now, I have heard a few stories about flat-6 motors emitting a bit of smoke from the tailpipes on start-up, but how much is normal??
I have noticed that I get a pretty large cloud (about the size of the car itself) after the car has sit for a few hours. It only seems to happen when the car is on a bit of a slope with the nose facing downhill. And it has done it since day-one...and the car now has 3500 miles. According to my oil gauge, I am only down 1 bar from normal.
What do you guys think???
PS- my service adviser thinks that it is only due to the angle at which the car is parked....

pretty much when I park it the other way, I am OK!
At home I park it level and it is also OK.
At work, most of the parking slots are slanted downwards and the car is on a slight tilt and then about 25%, I get the "smoke screen"!
I wonder if this will foul the catalytic converters??

rrustagi is infamous around these parts
i used to get lot of smoke on startup when the car was parked for couple of days when i had an 01 boxster, not with my 06 911. But it was not an issue with the boxster. I did show it at the dealers and they said nothing was wrong.

My one month old C2 does the same thing. The nature of these beasts (and combustion engines) requires them to be driven. If they sit, buildup occurs and the smoke is the engine's way of "cleaning" itself. Now go out and drive it like you stole it!

Right On, Brother!! Live to ride and ride to live!
I figured that it was nothing. I was asking just to check that no one replied, "yeah, the first time it happens it was OK, then the engine seized!"
And partly because a few of the folks in the office complex that drive other brands of cars are laughing at me driving away! I guess they don't notice the smile on my face!
