Cup Holder
Cup Holder
OK so my first post as a new Seal Gray 997 Owner, WOW what an incredible car.............................
WOW what a terrible cup holder..................
Is it just me or does ever body’s cup holder in the dash swing around like a boom on a sail boat as you go through the corners?????????
Seems like it would lock into the extended position, that will teach me not to drink and drive
1325 miles and counting every shift.....

I haven't used my cup holder yet, but try closing the cup holder door after the cup holder has been extended. I remember my sales person showing me this and I'm not sure if Porsche designed it for aesthetic purposes or to prevent the cup holder from swinging like a boom. Meanwhile, I will check this out today.
Yea, you need to close the cup holder door to keep the holders in place. Still, they're not the sturdiest.
My sales lady said they reminder her of stirrups from a gyn exam. Ever since that comment I think I'll just keep them closed.

It sounds like your cup holder is broken, it has spring tension on it in the extended position, it should'nt move when cornering.
Also i don't think you have the middle door closed, it locks the cup holders in position.
