Once you go black.......
Once you go black.......
Ok - so I took the plunge and did the extreme makeover to my pcar. Black wheels, silver crest, cermaic coated exhaust tips.... It took a while to grow on me but itching to go back to stock colored 19 carrera 5 spokes. I am on the fence, that's the reason for the post - Should I stay or revert back to stock??? Thoughts? If I go back to stock - the exhaust tips will be up for trade for your PSE tips...
I just don't get it. Honestly, the trend toward black wheels... to me they just look dirty and you lose the detail of the wheels. Am I just getting old? (38)

I'm with you - that car looks cool in a way, but I wouldn't do it. Maybe with the rims still silver and spokes black it would look less "lost", but as it is, at least in the photo, "black holes" for wheels. Not my fav look.
I was thinking about picking up a pair of black ceramic tips, just because the silver ones on my car are already black. Where did you get yours from?

My car came with black 19" "lobster fork" wheels that I pulled off for those Champion RS97s. I think the look is better on your silver car (or a white car) than my black, where it was just too monochromatic. I think having a chrome lip on a black wheel looks good and breaks it up a bit. I almost put your same wheels on mine (in alloy), but it does make the car look very stock and not personalized in any way. Tough call!
BTW the classic black wheels are called Fuchs
I swapped out my Carrera Classics for the TT wheels. I'm looking to go with some chrome tips to match the polished wheels - I think it will set off nicely on my Arctic car.
If you stay with the black, you can always add carbon bits, like the mirror fillers. Or maybe it's time to go with the aerokit...
