As a comparison... I just paid $49K for a 2006 Carrera S, 9000 miles, 13 months left on the factory warranty (no CPO), black/black, 19" lobsters (which I've since pulled off), navigation, PASM, sport chrono, heated/memory power seats, lowered suspension, tint, clear markers, and a few other goodies. Exceptional condition. I thought I got a really fantastic deal, though my trade-in was lousy, so it probably washed out to somewhere around fair market value.

Correct. I wasn't too optimistic when I went to go look at the car based on the dealership, but it was much cleaner than expected. It ended up being a Porsche Financial lease car from L.A. that someone probably had around as a weekend toy.

If the car is relatively clean the ask price is fair. That might actually work well for you because now that you see that the price is good you can focus all of your attention to the car itself .
