PSE or aftermarket
I'll have it up again shortly, there is a new part number and new pricing. Hope you're all sitting down!

My guess is that the part number directly reflects the price and if the price changes, they probably change the part number so there's no confusion. Just a guess though...
AfterHours
AfterHours, all the way. LOUD, but you'll love it. Give it a couple hundred miles to settle in, sound is VERY inconsistent until then, sometimes unbearable, sometimes quiet. AFter it settles, best sound comes from 3,200RPM through 5,000 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and under throttle higher in the range in 5th and 6th. You'll save about about 14lbs per muffler over stock.
Do it, you know you want to!

Thought I'd resurrect this one. Happened to look on the Suncoast website and the PSE was $2600, then went up to over $3000 (don't remember how much) and is now down to $2100!! Hope no one got caught in the temporary price increase over $3k! Really not such a bad deal, especially when you consider it includes tips that are easily over $600 alone.
Explain this gundo hack pls, I did a search & nothing?
Gundo hack:
weld a 2" pipe between the inlet and outlet pipes on your stock mufflers.

Has anyone dynoed that? Curious to see if there is a gain/loss of power. Post some sound videos, I'd like to hear it.

Here's how an exhaust typically works: gasses pass from the engine through the headers, into and out of the cats, then into the mufflers, through the muffler baffles, then out the muffler and into the air. Mufflers have an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe, and in between is the muffler "can" which may contain baffles. With the Gundo Hack, you are adding a connection pipe between the muffler inlet pipe and outlet pipe such that some of the gasses coming from the cats bypass the muffler's baffles altogether.
Hacking your OEM mufflers in this manner is similar in sound and basic principle as the PSE, with the primary difference being that it's not switchable on/off.
I am currently running AfterHours mufflers with AWE cats, and will swap to Gundo mufflers with AWE cats this weekend, and post some clips, meanwhile, here is a photo of a set of Gundo hacked mufflers that shows the small 2" diameter pipe connecting the muffler's inlet pipe to it's outlet pipe, which allows some undefined percentage of the exhaust gasses to bypass the muffler baffles/ can:

And here is a clip of some similarly hacked mufflers with stock cats:

I have a set of 997.1 S mufflers available for sale ($100). I'm in the L.A. area (Palos Verdes). Was planning to do the Gundo hack on these mufflers, but sold the car instead. PM me if interested. Local pickup only.

search "PSE a waste of money" thread. Shows a few pictures. Basically a 2" pipe about 3 inches long connecting the inlet and outlet pipes on each exhaust. A very simple job with great overall sound in the end.
