Do you normally drive with the spare wheel or not ?

Carfan,

I'm serious about part #s - if you get a change to check the spare and the cover and the insert for #s that would be super helpful.

How is the tire secured?

Thanks.

Could you be so kind to post pics of the wheel and tools? Thanks!

I'd certainly be interested in the complete rundown of the parts that make up the stock Guatemalan C4 spare tire kit (wheel, insert, jack, cover, tie-downs, etc).

Then someone like Suncoast needs to put together a preconfigured set of those for sale.

I'd not use it normally in daily driving, but if I went on a road trip overnight and out beyond 100miles form home, I'd have it in the garage to put in the car.

We have considered it, but we noticed some cars are missing the fastening system to secure the wheel (if not secured, the wheel will shift). Let me check and see if I can get more feedback, I'd love to find a car which came with the factory kit. Apparently it's a rare option.

Hey Ric,

Another loyal SunCoast custy letting you know that if you build this as a kit, I will come and get one (or, I'll have you ship it to me)! The idea of having this option to put in the trunk when traveling a distance away from home would be comforting.

I'd think the fastening system/anchor is also a 'part' that could be added, given whats going on in the frunk of a 4 with all the stuff... ie, one is not bolting to bodywork, but rather some internal frunk structure, in all likelyhood.

Sounds like you have at least 2 customers... though I suspect the number is higher.
