Widebody Paint Question

I have a silver 2006 C4 and the lower valence on the front bumper and side skirts are black plastic. I cant stand the black pieces against the silver car anymore. I cant find a body kit that I like - the only other option I can think of is taking the car to a body shop and having the lower panels painted to match the car. Has anyone done this? If the pieces are painted can I expect them to last?

Thanks.

What does the underside of the front valence look like?

If you scrape aggressively enough you might see the black plastic under the paint if you looked hard. How hard are you going to look after its painted?

I'd paint the side skirts and see how that breaks things up. In the end, you might decide to keep the valence black for some detail.

Are you going for an all silver look? Painting the rear badge?

If your valence underside is gouged now, consider how it will look once its painted and gouged.

Everything else is silver, do you think there would be a difference in getting the techart front lip and side skirt vs painting the current ones black in terms of durability?
