Guards Red Anybody?
I was actually in the market for a guards red C2S but ended up with my carrara white C4S with full leather and nav, priced really close to a GR C2S without full leather and nav...so I ended up with my car now. I couldn't be any happier.
I still would love to one day end up with a guards red 911. Maybe with one of the next generation Carreras.
I agree with others that GR doesn't really go too well with the beige interior.

haha... sounds like there won't be any takers for this car... i do agree the tan interior isn't a good combo. i once saw a GR 997 with cocoa interior that looked alright... let's just call this part of the "efficent market theory" of used porsches, accurately pricing down the ones that have issues...
love gr. while black and silver might be more popular, they are just too common.
my gr cab has a black top, with bi color black / sand leather, which really helps temper the overall impact of the gr color.
my next one will be a mexico blue gt3, i prefer understated colors

my next car will be guards red with black/natural grey or white with blue. The white with blue is the one combo i have always loved and it would look awesome in the C4S widebody! Oh, why didn't I buy that combo now....... the color is the only thing I regret on my car.
Red is "nice" and my dealer has a new C2 in the showroom in Guards w/ black. I think this is a good deal that you posted. For me and as you can tell by my garage in my signature, I am a black guy. Once you go black you never go back!
I have noticed that Guards Red seems to be an unpopular color in California. I have seen few to none at dealerships. Perhaps it is the liberal bent out here?
I had similar reservations to you about Guards Red ... I think may have even posted here about them at some point. Once I saw the color in person, my fears were lessened. The other more standard colors that I originally looked at, such as metallic greys and blacks, did not catch my eye as much and Guards Red itself is a very beautiful color, no doubt about it.
Friends who thought red would be too "try hard" changed their minds once they saw the Porsche ... it goes very well with the car design and besides ... a Porsche is such a statement anyway that the color cannot really diminish from the history and styling of the brand itself, if you should worry about the general impression it makes.
In short, I adore the color and my friends do as well. I will note that most people seem to think that red is a little tacky or vain on a car ... at least here in CA. If someone hears you have a red Porsche, they initially may form a particular impression of you ... and I say this only to acknowledge reality, so no one get offended! If they see the car in person, they will change their mind, trust me.
The only reason you would not want such a color is not being comfortable with the unique statement it makes ... sort of like wearing a colorful feather in your hat in a sea of grey and white hats. Personally, I say stand out and be noticed. =)

It's not such a great price (but not horrible either) for the car as the mileage is fairly high. I've seen some lower mileage (15-22k) '06 cars just for a few thousand more. I like Guards Red but GR/tan combo is not my favorite.
i have seen the car in person. right now, they took away the cpo because they have discounted it. however, i believe you can probably negotiate it into the cost of the car. the car does show very nice in person
2009 GR turbo cab
i have a GR 09 turbo cab with black leather interior. I am looking for a VIN so that i can order some parts for my car. I can use the VIN for a car that has a leather rear center console, B pillars, clothes hooks, fuse box cover and a gear trim strip in black. if anyone knows or has a car that has any of the above options please allow me to use the VIN so i can order the part thru SUNCOAST. Porsche will only sell a part if it has the VIN for a car with that part first. Thanks.
