Guards Red Anybody?

I think GR is a great color, except I just can't see myself in a GR 997...

Well, I know there are people out there who do love the color... JELLIS' car looks great... Anyways, I just thought I'd share a car out there for sale (not mine, it's at a dealer) that I thought someone might be interested in. I've actually seen this car in person, and it does look nice! I don't see many used C2S on dealer lots with the factory aerokit... I didn't like how the front lip has been painted red as I prefer the black. All in all, isn't $49K a pretty damn good price for an '06?

I asked the sales rep I talk with, David Farnell. He says they can't sell the car because most people come in looking for silver, black, white or grey. They are still trying to get rid of a green monster 2009 C2S launch car too (~$74ish?)... anyways, give him a call if u are interested... peace!

Can't speak for the 997 GR paint but my 964 oxidized to the point where black was easier to take care of. Red in Florida is not usually a good match. Too bad though - it looks so,,,, PORSCHE!

I keep mine in my garage but with proper care I am not worried about oxidation...even in Florida.

Damn that ones been for sale for a while. I couldn't handle the red on tan. Its like wannabe ferrari esque to me. Juist my 2 cents. The non full leather was a deal breaker. But guards red is my 2nd fav to white. I would trade my black for a guards red anyday. Just with same options as my interior was the deal sealer for me.

Oxidation shouldn't be a problem with a clear coat paint job.

Guards red is nice, but can look a little bit orange in certain lighting conditions.

I have seen some orange tint in older cars.
I've never seen any orange in newer models.

Dont let him blame the red on the color, its the market! Red is a ok to good seller for Porsche. The green on the other hand, they are sittig on not just his lots but about 20 others in the country. Tell your salesman id pay him 65,000 for his forest 911 lol

GR was my first color

I was also looking at this car and almost pulled the trigger. In the end the mileage and color combination (beige?) didn't work for me. After seeing a GR with black interior I couldn't see myself in anything else.

There has been a few posts regarding this car and if memory serves me correctly, a few posters were weary of the mileage and the fact that the fleet manager had driven it for a while.
