Does your AC smell funky?

Mine is fine when it's on low. However, when I turn the temp up slightly, to say, 75 degrees, it starts to smell slightly musty (?), which I don't like at all.

So I got one of these things from one of the sponsors here.

Directions were easy enough... but I must say, didnt make WHOLE lotta difference. Maybe I didn't give it enough time. I'll report back on how it does tomorrow...

Since you didn't mention having changed it, I'd check your cabin air filter. In addition to a new cabin filter getting rid of bad smells, an old cabin air filter is often the source of sour smells.

No problems with mine, at least not yet.

Thanks, I'll try that as well.

I'm glad to report that the smell is now essentially gone! Great product - cheap, easy to use and gets the job done! It was a little bit scary dumping a whole can of foam in your car though...

Where do you "dump" the foam into? The air vents?

The Lexus dealership found a dead rat in my mom's AC system... might want to check that out.

The can comes with a 24" tube that you attach to the can. You shake the can, insert the tube down your center AC vent and empty the can out. Wait 20-30min, turn on your AC for a few minutes, and voila!
