Exhaust

Yesterday in Bedford on 22, I heard this great exhaust that really caught my ear. Expecting to see a Lambo, Ferrari or Aston, instead it was a silver cabrio late model C2 or C2s! That will probably be my first mod of many, so what is the exhaust of choice for that exotic sound?

Ahh...sweet sound

describe the sound, was the car revved out when you heard it, or on the throttle in the mid-range?? more info would help us answer your question!

No way . The FVD blows away the Tubi , in terms of power , and sound . It's a complete system (cats, headers, mufflers) giving the car a real nice pop in power . I chose the 95 decibel level but they also have a louder version . Shoot me a PM with your e mail and I'll send you a sound clip . I don't have my car on youtube.

For that tuned exotic sound, Cargraphic or Tubi all the way. From a price perspective, Cargraphic 100%

We're running great deals on the Cargraphic side muffler system right now if you're interested. Feel free to let me know.

Here's a video we made.

How would Cargraphic or FVD pair with AWE cats?

Cats will really open up the sound of the 997.1.

To clarify though, the OP has a 997.2 so the sound characteristics will be slightly different.

Cargraphic is the best exhaust around! I just heard the Cargraphic Export last weekend on a 997.1 C2S, it was amazing! Even with just the mufflers it was loud, but not just loud, it had the intoxicating OEM sound of Porsche...

It was simply beautiful, breath taking...

Well put Sin. Now that Cargraphic teamed up with the boys over @ RSS, the 997.1 and 997.2 systems are much more affordable and readily assessable. Please contact myself or Tom with any of your Cargraphic needs. We are currently offering specials through the month of October for all 6speedonline members and have most systems in stock.

Thanks J, good to know The only problem is that even though it is much affordable it still is expensive...

I've heard them all...and my setup is what I believe IMHO the best sounding setup. My X51 headers, 200cpi HJS cats (AWE) along with my Borla cans just rip. It is not for the feint of heart and I will take the Pepsi Challenge anyday of the week with my exhaust.

I just saw you have a 997.2, if thats the case listen to larry and get the FVD, its expensive but well thought out and a good kick in the pants.

Dave, I know you love your setup. I've already got the AWE cats, and with the AfterHours pipes it's too much. The combination leads to a lot of drone and resonance. The AH pipes with OEM mufflers were awesome.

Are you saying that the Borlas don't drone or have any resonance when paired with the AWE cats?

Also, are you using the Borla tips that are included- how do they look, any pics you can share?
CATTMAN
