17k miles on my '05 C2S. Only issues are: the DME needed to be replaced (after a detailing that used an orbital polisher); a battery that went bad (blamed on a bad cable); and lots of rattles (living with those).

Hit 95,114 on my 05s today. Oil change every 5,000 since purchase at 14,000 as a CPO. Only warranty issue was a clutch slave cylinder. Otherwise no issues at all.

I do! If I put mine to the correct time, in a couple of days it could be about 2 or 3 minutes behind the same clock that I used as a reference. The dealer says there is no fix for this.

Wow that's great! Good to see high mileage 997s with no major problems.

I have 42,500 miles on my 05 S. Only bought her about 2.5 months ago with 41,000 miles. Previous owner had a new engine put in only 100 miles before I bought it. At this moment, I'm still breaking in the engine! Changed the oil myself after 1,000 miles. Now, about 500 more miles to go, with no oil consumption so far.

I have to say, my car has excellent build quality, I've not had a single squeak or rattle, that others complain about. But, I did have a couple of random times that my rear spoiler got stuck in the extended position. It fixed itself after turning the car off then on. Not sure what happened there.

All in all, this one is a keeper. I look forward to many years to come.

Funny - I was looking for a Carrara White but couldn't find a Launch version in that color.
I've got an '05 997s, how do I know if it's a launch edition?

Are you kidding me? Is this common on 997s for the motor to just go?!

How many miles did it have on it? Did you drive it hard or track it?

Yellow calipers with PCCBs is a visual giveaway. Nearly every option offered in '05 will be in the car as well...

fyi. get EVERYTHING cosmetic fixed under warranty if you can. rear side window squeaks is a bolt that needs tightening. check the vent/ac controls. they will cahnge them under warranty. it's a know issue.
Would you please describe the issue with a/c vent controls?

Thanks!

It's a pretty well known issue. The fan and temp buttons start to peel. Porsche will replace only under original warranty and not CPo

Oh, bummer. Didn't know about that one. My 2005 was just purchased, has 15k miles on it now. No issues but I have only driven it about 300 miles so far.

One of these days I'll get around to posting pics of her and her sister ('07 Boxster S) - I'll likely wait until I get the seats and bits back from Robert to show off his fantastic work. He uses the same OEM leather and materials as Porsche so the look is factory stock.
Nexus, I see you are in Dallas. I'm in Plano. Is 928 Leather local? I'm interested.
