No affiliation, etc., but I used to have only a Sharkwerks bypass pipe and while the sound of the car changed, I needed more sound... My previous 911 was a 964 year 1990, you get the idea...

Well, Alex at Sharkwerks sold me the 2 Tubi side exhausts and now I am completely happy with my car, much more involving to drive !

I've said it time and time again....you can't go wrong with Tubi. People often ask me if the price premium for Tubi is worth it. I tell them to ask around and search online for anyone who has ever NOT been satisfied with a Tubi system. It's hard to find.

I agree. Tubi is a great all around exhaust system and you really get what you paid for.

100%. Although lately, we've also been extremely happy with Cargraphic as well. Their systems offer all the same great attributes of the Tubi systems; excellent fitment, amazing construction, and phenomenal sound. And the price is a just a tiny bit friendlier too.

stephen k is infamous around these parts
Albeit I have the Tubi on my 997.1 you sound like the perfect candidate for a tubi exhaust. The price is steep for a system that doesn't use special metals like titanium but the sound is very well behaved. It does not drone and is a tad louder than stock. The Tone is completely different. You will love it.

Do you have any dyno data on this set-up with just the X-Pipe and the Maxflo Mufflers (loud)? How much HP/TQ gain and does it get a little more than just the X-Pipe alone? Also, did you experience any drone? By the way, it was not as loud as I was expecting.

The mufflers and X Pipe grouped together really make a nice increase in horsepower and torque throughout the entire rpm range. The car will get a little louder as you drive it more due to the packing inside the mufflers being settled in but there is no drone with the system at all. The maxflo muffler and X pipe dyno result is below and you can clearly see the hp and torque gains through the rpm's and it really makes a big difference at the top end.
Thanks,

There is a reason why you will be hard pressed to find anyone who has purchased a Tubi to say, "I didn't really like it that much." I have Tubi on my 997.2 and Cargraphic on my 997.1. The Cargraphic was a little louder and deeper, but without question the Tubi is a better sound, to me. And, that is the ONLY reason why you purchase an exhaust on a normally aspirated Porsche - sound.

Thanks,
Thanks for the info. Those are some pretty impressive gains in HP/TQ from the dyno run, a lot more than similar combinations of both X-pipes (or crossover pipes) and side mufflers from TUBI or FVD Brombacher. I would love to hear this set up in person - do you have anyone with it out here in Arizona anyplace? Thanks.
