That is what I have been trying to find out. The car runs rich at lower RPM's. At the track the mixture seems to be perfect. All the soot goes away at the track and the inside of the tips turn to a greyish white.

Zoso - yes the air/fuel mixture is tuned giving you a leaner fuel map thus increasing performance. The tune is available for 91, 93, 95, 98octane worldwide.

What was the result? Are the 09 #s correct and just don't increase as much as the 997.1?

My numbers were wrong. The power increase is relative between the 2.

I have no idea what that means. What are the accurate #s for the 997.2 Hp and torque. If they are what is on your website, then the original question still stands: why are the gains so much higher on the 997.1.

No the numbers are a mistake. The carrera is an OVERALL improvement. Quicker throttle response, better torque, strong midrange pull, and obviously pulling harder to 500rpm past redline.

Alright guys, here are the numbers from Softronic -

997 3.6 Base BHP 345 and Torque 288 , Tuned W/Muffler 375BHP and 316. Tune 362BHP and 304 Torque.

997 3.8 Base BHP 385 and Torque 310, Tuned W Muffler BHP 421BHP and 341. Tune 405BHP and 328

13HP gain from tune to tune with exhaust. These are CRANK numbers too. I have a dyno sheet of a 997 C4s 3.8L here with Softronic and Exhaust to compare.

And I would recommend the Fabspeed exhaust from us.
