Unbelievable
on crack?!honestly though, i'd go else where or work with them on pricing. start with a huge discount or ask them to give u loaner til the car get here. impossible but never hurt to ask since they screw it in the beginning.
The saga is over. Dealer found me a car;
Carrera S
Black Full Leather
19"Carrera Classic Wheels
Heated front seats
Wheel caps with colored crest
Navigation for PCM
Bose high end sound package
Remote CD changer
Black mats
Self dimmimg mirrors
Leather sport steering wheel
Sport chrono package plus
Porsche crest in headrest
Adaptive sport seats Leather Int.
Rear center console in alum. look
Sport shifter
Metal door sill model insignia
He had to give up a Turbo S Cab.to get it.
He gave me a 3% discount and paid the freight to get it here.
Should have the car in a week.
Fingers crossed!

Congrats on the resolution. 3% is low, there's at least 15% profit in the car, but take what you can get, and teach them a lesson. Get a few things tossed in at delivery (shirt, jacket, key fob). Enjoy it!
I am in Northern California and it doesnt seem that dealers are willing to go below sticker on the 997 in my area. It is great to see that your dealer gave you a 3% break for the screw-up, however that opens up a question:
Is anyone in the US negociating below the sticker on a new 997? If so, what are you guys seeing?
