I just got the call that my car is in, but a minor problem, the dealer ordered a Carrera instead of the S . So we reordered my S today with March delivery.
I am so PISSED!

 

I would start looking for a replacement dealer. There are plenty of 997's available.

 

Can they locate 1 for you? I would ask for a discount. They have to do something for you.

 

What options did you order? color? There's at least one at the Scneider Nelson dealer in Monmouth County on rt 36 East I'm 5 min away, let me know if y ou want to me shoot over there.

Make sure he's not jerking your chain and actually sold your S to someone else!
Get a new dealer, that is an impossible f up!

 

This is the 4th car I bought from this dealer, Parktown Imports in St. Louis.

He is an ahole and I am bummed out!

 

How could the dealer screw that up? the S has standard equipment that would have to be specifically ordered as an option on the standard carrera, you would have had to order those options, and choose them yourself.

Get to the dealership GM and sit down with them on this one. You've been screwed. I'd go elsewhere, though it may be likely they can dealer-swap for one like you ordered originally, IF they do their homework.

Question - didn't you get a pro-forma after you placed your order? This is standard procedure, shows all the pertinent details, INCLUDING model information and options.

 

We did the order over the phone because I had no problem with my last order a Cayenne S. My problem for not requesting a copy of the order. Live and learn.

 

PS I am still absolutely BS , but on the bright side I wanted natural leather brown with my slate grey and it was not available until Dec. 04 so now I can get it.
