6Speed Summer 2010 Road Trip: Montana
Some of the regulars here have tossed around the idea of meeting up somewhere in the middle of the country, and Montana, while not precisely at the center, has caught on.
I, personally, would be up for making some calls, arranging details, if there were critical mass of folks interested. I can leverage the local PCA, as well as PCNA.

Only two really good destination choices- Big Sky and/or Whitefish. Unquestionably beautiful for either. Big Sky has Yellowstone and Whitefish has Glacier National Park.
But either is a longggggg fricken way from 99% of posters
Beartooth Highway on the northeast entrance to Yellowstone is ten miles of pure insanity and twenty miles of surreal beauty (7200ft to 10,800ft altitude):

I think Big Sky is the natural choice given it has a very nice/upscale downtown and is not crowded. You could have a hell of Porsche "convention" there.

The only reason Montana came up was because 1999Porsche911 (Jim) and Justatoy (Stacy) thought about meeting up some time to compare their SC cars. I told Stacy that the rough half way point between the 2 of them (Vancouver and Chicago) would likely be around Billings Montana (actually slightly closer to Vancouver than Chicago).
In talking to Stacy today, we figured that if enough others might be interested, it might be preferable to do it somewhere like Vegas.
Knowing Stacy, I expect he'll try to organize something.
