I've never see a Porsche dealer with so many non Porsche used cars on their lot.

Maybe there are droves of people trading in their minivans and civics for 911's and Cayennes

JohnAMG is infamous around these parts
That preowned inventory list is likely for the whole Northtown Auto Group. That Porsche dealer was bought over by the Northtown last month, and it is under new management, except the sales manager was from the last owner(the son). I am hoping the new management will provide a better experience because Northtown treated me well when I had the Lexus. Only time will tell. However I would never purchase from them until that sales manager is gone.

It's a very unusual inventory indeed . I did see a guy once (years ago) trade in his Ford Explorer for a 911 Cab . I was also buying a car on that day but saw him gathering his items from his SUV and starting up his cab .

I could not help but wonder what events in his life led to the choice of such a huge vehicle transition . He drove away with this big smile on his face waving at the salesman and I even wondered as he drove away if he would be happy with the change or at some point revert back to a big SUV.

The dealers are picking up a lot of cars from the auctions after ( presumably) the owners ( or those who lease) could not make the payments. I have seen a number of these cars but, in the end, steered clear as their condition was not as I expected for cars with 1000 to 3000 miles. I am sure there are good ones out there. I decided to go with a leftover 2008 from a dealer in July 2009. I think they had a hard time selling as there were so many slightly used 2007 and 2008s on the market.

Just check the cars and their backgrounds carefully.

And they didn't return my 3 calls and an e-mail. With customer service like that, I'm surprised they sell any cars, let alone Porsches.

Can't say much for upstate NY Porsche dealerships...
