i want to buy a car and am thinking of the new 997.2 carrera s or 2009 turbo ?

turbo is faster.. but if your going to get turbo get the 2010 which is the newest edition with different engine and different transmission (PDK) and faster!

do you want AWD turbo or RWD 997.2 or AWD 997.2, its up to you..

 

turbo all the way, but if money is a issue the c4s... is a great car...for about 110,000 or a turbo for about 140,000 see the difference....

 

need power and good look

the 2 cars has the same price but the turbo more with 10 k

I am assuming the turbo is a 6 speed vs a 2010 PDK. If you want PDK, lighter, more tossable car - 997.2. Faster, 4WD, heavier, 6 speed - turbo. BTW, the 997.2 is pretty quick. Its surprisingly quick. I think the 385HP is conservative given its performance. Very few cars will beat it 0-60 (unless you go supercar, heavily modded etc) and its very easy to live with day to day.

No point to buy the 2009 turbo, there was a major update for 2010. In that respect, the S would be better or simply get the 2010 turbo...

 

Tough question . The two cars are very different . The 997S is lighter , very seamless in its acceleration, responsive with the throttle , and great for curves . It's narrow body has less exposure to door dings and since the car is more common it attracts a bit less negative attention .

The Turbo has this all out face smearing rush of acceleration and with modifications it can pin you against your seat and take off like low level flying . Nothing can take it on a rolling start with mods and very few can run with it off the line . In corners it does handle well and in harsh weather the AWD is superior.

Hard to choose -- can't lose picking either.

 

If you are willing to spend the extra money, Turbo.
