Lowering a 997 with H&R Springs impact the ride and noise in the P-Car?
We typically ask A LOT of questions and show the customer our car, as well as tons of pictures, before the install in order to get a good idea of the final ride height they'd like. Also, after doing a few installs, you become familiar with different coilover setups (i.e. Bilstein, KW) so we've become pretty good at setting the coilovers at a good height before even installing them. There's usually some minor adjusting done at the time of install, but it doesn't take very long, especially since the coilovers are new and the adjusters still move freely. Of course, we've come across cars that have rusted or seized bolts or other things that can cause the install to run a little longer. The time I quoted above is assuming the install goes smoothly, which in most cases it does.
Minor adjustments are done after that during the corner balance process. Theoretically, each corner will have to be adjusted slightly in order to achieve a proper corner balance anyway, so there's no sense measuring each corner to the millimeter before a corner balance.

but regarding the wheels,, are they 20''s?
because Mine are 19''s
Im running H&R's on the factory shocks and I must say The ride improved. It's more stable and Has a more connected feel with the road. I do not have the sport suspension, And according to H&R's Web site which states that the the sport spring where designed and wound to be used with the factory shocks. With that being said, I love the Stance and Ride of my 997.

Here u go
take it from somebody that had h&r springs then switched to Bilsteins coilovers on my Carrera. The springs made the ride quality really harsh, and with a front lip you will scrape everywhere. I can't even begin to imagine how poor your ride quality be with 20's and springs.
I'd look for a different set of wheels like champions that are designed for Porsches and are top notch quality and do it once, do it right, get Bilsteins. Then you can control your ride comfort and height. Springs are a cheap fix, but a waste of money in the long run. It cost me 2x the install because I was being cheap. Don't make the same mistake!

Just had H&R Springs put on my 05 C2 with 19" Victor Equipment wheels and I think the ride is noticeably better than stock springs with stock 18" wheels. Got 7 mil spacers in the back and now moving the 7 mil spacers to the front and installing 14 mil spacers on the back. Love how the car looks and love how it handles. I recommend staying with 19" wheels instead of 20" because there is just a lot more tire choices for 19" wheels sizes in 305 or 315 width. Ordered 20" wheels for my V8 Vantage and now wish I ordered 19" instead.

This thread has been dead for a while, but I need some advice. I want a drop of 1" or so but not spend big $$ for coilovers and don't plan to track the car. There seem to be two choices for lowering springs, Eibach (lowers 1.0") or H&R (lowers 1.2"). I think the lowering heights listed are for non PASM cars. Reading through this thread, the Eibach/Techarts seem to have all favorable reviews regarding ride quality. The H&Rs get mixed reviews from better than stock to a rough/too firm ride. I'm looking for impressions from anyone with PASM with either Eibach or H&R. Also, it's not clear if the springs for a cabriolet are different from the coupe. I have a C2S Cab and need to know if the springs specified for coupe will work on a cab.
I have Formula 20's with H&R springs. Rides good and does not feel too harsh (my opinion as well as others who have ridden in the car). However, since I purchased it this way, I can not compare to stock. I have had a Porsche driving school instructor drive the car and he was impressed with the ride quality on the road. He thought that it would be a lot stiffer with the 20's. I am planning to switch out the stock shocks with Eibach shocks when the time comes.
