Thumbs up AWE exhaust installed 09 C4S. Music to my ears

I just installed my new AWE exhaust yesterday. Piece of cake. Took me about 2 hours. I already have the AWE cross-pipes installed. First impressions when opening the box were quality. Top notch. Almost felt I should hang them on the wall for garage art. Beautiful.

Took it out today for the first time. I love the sound the car makes on startup now. Not to loud, but just right. Low throaty rumble. On hard acceleration car is louder than stock, but not crazy. But it just sounds right. Even on downshifts the sound is music.

One thing kind of funny was since the exhausts are new that burnoff smoke and smell. I was sitting at the light and someone pulled up next to me and commented.

I would say these tie with my new HRE wheels as #1 upgrades. Also, the AWE setup is a bargain compared to all the competitors products. Not to mention the outstanding customer service from the AWE guys.

Congrats. Did you have to take the rear bumper off or lift the car for installation?
Do you have sound clips?

Did you go with headers, cat, and mufflers? I had mine put on about three months after I got my car and the sound was just what I was looking for in terms of volume and tone. I can't even remember what my car was like before. Glad to hear you were able to do the work yourself and save some $$$.

I don't believe AWE makes Headers or cats for the 997.2 yet. Only mufflers, cross-over pipe, and x-pipe.

I am actually looking at this system or the Tubi system.

Thanks for the heads up. If they do for the 997.2 anything close to what they did for the 997.1, it'll be well worth the wait.

Ill try to shoot a short video tomorrow. I didnt remove the bumper. I didnt even have to remove the rear wheels. Old cans came strait down and out. The new cans are smaller so even easier to install. I was surprised how simple is was.

Im not aware of any cats or headers available yet due to Porsche combining the units in one piece. Check out the photos.
