Paddle Shifters & X51 Power Kit
I agree that they are different experiences but in terms of cost effective --the X51 prices itself in a domain where it can never recover . Even the Gt3 selling without a discount prices itself out of the market in terms of what i feel is a decent value .
In short --back in the old days I didn't care as much about what the car cost but in recent times and after following the market on price it really is up to the buyer to examine the value . Why buy a PDK , 997S , Cab optioned up to cost in Gt3 or Turbo range ? For an "experience" ? How about the experience when you go to sell it and no one wants to pay you even 1/10 of what that X51 cost you ? Isn't that part of the experience too?

BUT if you want the fastest lightest NA C2S coupe with PDK that you can use every day as a DD, I'd get the X51. You cant just say get a GT3 or TT - they are totally different for different needs / uses. A GT3 may be a better car but for me it wont work (regardless of price). I love the fact I can get in my C2S and drive it very easily every day with PDK in almost any condition.
BTW - did not get X51 on current but did on previous. Long story

If you are arguing based on economics - I agree.

But I can say it . In fact I did say it .
Now I understand that an X51 Cab with PDK is unique but if one wants comfort and power the Turbo offers more of both . If one wants sport the Gt3 offers more and it can be adapted for some comfort (including the lift, and seats ) . In short Porsche created many models yet the X51 appeals to a very small minority of buyers . An X51 Cab will cost approx 140K and that Turbo cab territory . In fact it's CPO Turbo cab with 40K in ones pocket. However --I don't understand the Turbo cab concept either . It makes no sense to me to buy a performance car and sacrifice the roof which is so vital to the overall structure . To even go as far as adding X51 or Turbo engines makes no sense with an absent roof .
