Mommy mode is a great option for getting wifey on board with the buy.

Can't do over rev damage going up, assuming oil temp is up, but still a little disturbing when the limiter kicks in.
I prefer to drive mostly in sport mode as well but not usually anywhere near the rev limiter. Do you really drive it that hard all the time or just manually shift that late?

Drive in Manual sports mode with suspension off.
Scared my self by flooring in 6th at 70, it downshifted into 4th and hit the rev limiter, when I expected it to up shift automatically.
Is it supposed to shift up, automatically, in Manual sports mode if you keep it floored, or must you always manually shift it in that mode?

Sport mode for me. I have a partially blind exit from our neighborhood onto main drag. Normal mode seems way to sluggish when pulling out in front of high speed traffic. Sport mode puts me in control.

Just another reason I drive my PDK in Sport Mode is I have few miles on the clock and Porsche warns of "lugging the engine" during break-in. There are a lot of hills where I live and found that in "Mommy Mode" the engine would lug a bunch. In Sport, all is good, never reaching 4k, but always reving freely without a grunt. Now, to be fair, I'm not pushing it either, so ymmv!

I drive in sport 50%. It is best to turn it off when parking or for slow speed manuvers.

Me too - sport on first thing, SPASM to normal (2 clicks). I'd like to default it to that.

Yeah that's the Schumacher mode. i wonder if a dealer w/ a PIWIS could set that as default when switching to SC Sport.

I am not sure on this but I am under the impression that the rev limiter is some type of fuel cutoff which prevents an over rev in manual mode . Once the gear is shifted the computer reads the proper rev capacity and picks it right back up .

As soon as I start her up, switch on sport mode, take off PASM. Drive in sport 100% of time.

I have SPASM, but do I have regular PASM and Normal? What if I press the button (lights up), is it on SPASM of PASM? If I want it more comfort, should I turn it on to adaptive the road condition?

SPASM means your car is 20mm lower than normal. Light on is in sport (stiffer) mode. Light off is in normal (more compliant) mode..

I just took my car for a drive in sport auto mode . It's been awhile as I mostly drive it in manual sport . I still prefer manual mode . The automatic mode is adequate but not ideal for being able to anticipate moderate driving. it feel too close to an automatic for my taste . In manual mode I have the best of all worlds .. I get to shift efficiently into my gear choice and rev match downshift .

I'm in sport mode all the time when I'm alone. But, when I'm cruising with passengers that want a smoother ride (i.e. the wife) I switch to normal. Gear shifts are so much more smoother in normal mode.
