Adding side stripes, do you remove stone guards?

Adding side stripes, do you remove stone guards?
Adding stripes. Leave stone guards on or remove?

I had my Carrera S script applied over the stone guard and have had no problem.

vroomd is infamous around these parts
I applied GT3RS side decals over the factory stoneguards without an issue.

If factory stone guards are starting to yellow you may want to remove/replace before applying

Yes they have yellowed, plus 3M clearbra on rocker panels. A lot of stuff, over the paint.
I think i will replace them first.

I think that is the best thing to do. I am planning to add the side stripe on my car as well but first I will remove the stone guard and apply the new one on top of the stripe.
