I'm looking to downsize to a 997 cab in Oct. Glad you put up this thread.
Why do I see few guys buying cabs? Is the cab somehow less than the coupe?

Most guys want to go faster I think for one and the coupe is a bit faster b/c it's a little lighter and stiffer, but not much on a 911 (with the M3 there was a few hundred pound difference). Also, I know at least one guy at work that doesn't like being exposed to the sun so much lol! To each his own I guess...I would never NOT have one living in CA.

When you have the bra installed, make sure you get it done by someone who wraps the seams rather than using a pre-cut kit. MUCH nicer look, and the lack of seams looks better and you won't get product build up on the edges.

yes, it costs about 25% more, but I'm getting the custom job on the bra and not the pre-cut.
