Jim: Glad they arrived in tact, despite the abuse in shipping. I was a little worried that the new box was a little on the light side, so tried to compensate by putting lots of bubble wrap and newspapers around the cats just in case.
FWIW, I think removing the bumper is helpful, and I did it twice with no assistance and no problems. It gets easier every time, as Stacy can attest (God knows HE's done it enough times!). I removed the air box so i could unplug the sensor connectors in engine bay to allow proper slack and avoid too much twisting of wire harnesses. Gloves might be in order, as it seemed when I installed them and uninstalled them, I ended up with skinned knuckles each time.
Good luck with install. I'll miss the sound when I get my next 997, but I know Ed will do his part to more than compensate for my reduction in noise pollution.
