Battery Issues

For the second time I got stuck with no reaction on turning the key in the ignition due to a dead battery.

Last time I blamed the battery and replaced it, now it happened again and I went on a hunt for hidden consumption sources.

The most logical explanation would be the radar-detector that is staying permanently on as the power-plug is not connected to the ignition and after not driving the car for a few days this might be a steady flow of power out.

Now, question for you: is there any chance to (simply) make the power plug go on and off with the ignition or do I have to turn off the Radar every time I park the car on the actual machine?

Gosh, yes! In Porsche cigarette lighter socket is permanently connected to battery so if you kept your radar on all the time - it would deplete battery. Only simple way is to turn off radar if you do not want to install it permanently connected to ignition activated power line.
