Houston/09 leftover pricing

Hi guys-

I'm new here, looking into a 997S. Does anyone have any experience with Houston dealers? I have been to all 3. I get the corporate shakedown feeling at Momentum and West Houston, as they are owned by Sonic. I know North Houston is independent. I was just there today and the salesman said they had just changed owners within the last 10 days, but still independently held. I have found a significant number of 09s leftover that are interesting, but pricing is all over the place and the cars obviously are not the same. Any input on a 09 C2S Cab, power seat, bluetooth, nav, vent seats, ipod, XM, Bose-- North Houston is putting it online for 88,9XX. It has 75 miles and warranty was punched a week ago. I have been to Momentum several times, just took a look at used 09 C4S black on black, bose, bluetooth, xm, power seat, vent seat with turbo wheels, no NAV (obviously not same car) with 7400 miles which they say they will do for 87k. I feel like this is not a good deal at all with the other new leftover car being as cheap as it is. Not sure yet on cab or coupe, but I liked the C4S a lot. looks sharp in black on black. sorry for the long post just hoping to get some insight from any Houston owners.

Thanks

I don't have any experience with the Houston dealers, but I got $20K off of MSRP on my new 2009 up here in Dallas back in October. Now that we're into 2010, I think that should be the minimum discount for a leftover 2009.

I don't know the region but I got 20 percent off on my 09 in South Florida back in July. First you have to decide what type of car you want .

Also 20 percent off on an 09 at this time might not be as good as 10 percent off on a 2010 car factoring in one more year of depreciation . I also believe taht the 2010 pricing and lack of discounts means that you ought to wait .

In your price range though .. and as long as the AWD C4S was in the mix .. why not look at a CPO Turbo ? A 2007 coupe would cost you low 80's and will blow away the leftover 997S in every way --including bang for the buck value. Plus the Gt1 dry sump engine in the Turbo is one of the most reliable engines that i have ever seen in a Porsche.

I bought 2 cars from North Houston, felt less ripped off than usual. I could never deal with Momentum, they never had decent price on their cars or gave me a decent appraisal on mine.
Locally, Park Place is also very aggressive price wise, but I never dealt with them personally. What I liked about North Houston is that they negotiate with you by email initially, so when you get there, you have an idea about what comes towards you. They did, in my experience, followed the price promised by email or even improved the deal. I showed a couple of 911's at Park Place and they matched the price. They can be aggressive with their price, just prove to them that you can get any car in the country cheaper than theirs, and if the cars have the same options, they might improve the deal. The tough part is finding 2 911's alike in dealerships (not ebay) in similar purchasing conditions.
I dealt with Kenny there, very nice guy.
I got a 911 C2 coupe from them, although the S cab would be my preference, I bought it for 68 with PDK, sports Chrono, vented seats and more, couldn't let that pass, specially at 1.9%. In TX you might not need the C4, that's some dough saved right there...

For what it's worth, I was at the Porsche center here in San Antonio 2 weeks ago and they had just sold a brand new 2009 C4S for I think $85k. It was a special order and the guy bailed on the deal. It was FULLY loaded..I think the sticker was somewhere around $115k.
