As someone else noted, I wonder if you can modify OEM LED tail light housing to make it fit to 997.1.

 

I found a custom LED company based fairly close to me in NJ. I will see if I can reach out to them. Perhaps others can do the same to pique their interest...

I can't believe the thread is deleted! I've since posted at Rennlist asking the Mods why the thread has been deleted...???

Anyway Chris is still working on this project so we'll follow it here.

 

It's been deleted most likely because it's somewhat of a commercial post for the provider. They need to pay sponsorship to advertise it is my guess (as is fair to others that do pay).

 

The mods informed us of the same....

Oh well I'll update everyone when they are completed. Excited to see what they look like installed.

Yes, I've spoken to Chris and he should have the modified lights done next week. He's working on a few different car models so as soon as I have information and/or photos I'll post them up.

I don't believe so. Once Chris has done his first template (mine) and worked out how long it takes including pricing of lights or perhaps core replacement program then he'll revert back.

He should have something done for next week...

Don't worry I'm just as anxious and curious as to the final outcome!

Jet, some of the work I saw him post (nsx) consisted of a rectangular matrix of LED's hidden behind the housing. Is he doing any sort of shape or pattern to yours, or just dropping in a strip of LED's?
