Duralast or Everstart Batteries?

Has anyone replaced their OEM battery with one of these? And if so, was it a direct drop in? From research on this site I know that both will 'work', but I'm looking for one that will screw right in without any modification to the tray.

Thanks.

I just replaced my battery with the Duralast gold. No modification to the tray other than using the last hole instead of the second to last hole on it. You will have to remove the tray and affix a nut to the bottom side so you can bolt through that hole. I super glued the nut in place then reinstalled the tray and bolted down the battery. Very easy to do!

JasonKM is infamous around these parts
a BCI Group 94R is a direct fit replacement. Many manufacturers have the wrong battery listed (group 49 that is 14 inches long) and requires moving the hold-down bracket

all these batteries are the same i believe. they are all made by johnson control i think. the stock battery tray has multiple places to hold the battery. direct fit that is easy.

make sure you have the radio code before you remove the connection.

Thanks for the tip on the radio code. Is there anything to do with windows or anything else after a battery swap?

You do not need a radio code for a battery swap. The only fault you might get is the PASM if you have it which will clear shortly after driving the car a few hundred feet.
