PASM 997.2 S Cab

My 997.2 S Cab has the sport plus option but not the PASM SPORT CHASSIS. They didn't offer that option for a Cab ...only available as an option for Coupé models . I dont understand why it wasnt offered and neither did the salesman when I ordered it.... Any thoughts??

I also want to lower my car and think I will probably buy the TechArt lowering Springs from Sharkwerks. Has anyone lowered their 997.2 Cab and have any tips on how I should proceed. Thanks

I lowered my 997.1 C4S Cab with TechArt springs and couldn't be happier. PASM continues to work perfectly. However, prepare to have many, many here recommend you go with coilovers (if I tracked my car I would take their advice).

I belive this option is not permited on cabs due to rigidity issues.

JoeShark can you tell us the difference in confort ride after the new springs install? Many years I drop some springs on my sport car (Calibra 4x4 Turbo) to lower it and couldn´t stand the bumpy feel ride they provide, had to took them off after two months.

For those who are looking to remain with the great confort/sport ride feel this car comes from factory and only want to see it lowered, what can be the best option, springs or coilovers? Not looking to stiffen the suspension, I love the way it rides right now, just looking for the low look stance.

Ride after the spring install was slightly stiffer but really not that noticeable. The few people that rode in my car before and after (including my wife) said they didn't feel any difference at all. Definitely not harsh at all or unbearable. Great thing is that PASM continues to work as before. Sorry I can't really be more specific other than to say that the TechArt springs did exactly what I was looking for (which was to give the car a very slight drop (15mm) as the original wheel gap was pretty large and to maintain PASM).

No SPASM on N.American cabs actually turned out to be a good thing for me (wife's car). There was no way another 10mm (that Sport provides) would have been enough drop. North Am cars are so far up in the air, even with PASM.

We went with changing the system out to Damptronic. The upsides there are ability to set height you want, and generally tune the set-up to taste (height, rake, corner balance).
