Beautiful Sunday in No. CA... a C2S and a GT3 meet-up...
What a glorious day! 65 degrees, clear sunny day, spring was definitely in the air, and so was the sound of 2 unleashed flat-six engines terrorizing the roads of Northern CA.
We drove for almost 3 hours for over 100 miles starting at 8:00am up and down Highway 1 all the way to Dillon Beach and headed back to Sonoma through some amazing back roads.
My buddy just picked-up a used 07 GT3 with 6K miles with PCCB and lots of other goodies… he also she had a Sharkwerks bypass installed and the noise the exhaust now makes is intoxicating… I had a chance a drive his car and all I can say is WOW… The GT3 is a fantastic car and now understand the hype. Everything about it feels more raw, connected, and precise than my C2S. The shifter has short and crisp throws, the clutch is a lot more heavier but has a more “direct” action, the car feels planted and exhibit less understeer at initial turn-in but is also less forgiving on rough roads. The 3.6 engine begs to be revved all the way to its 8K+ reline. Finally, the PCCB were superb. It actually took me a while to adjust to them and modulate the effort on the pedal accordingly.
Even though keeping-up with a GT3 was not an easy task, I was actually happy to drive back home at sedate speeds in my C2S… it is very comfortable and plenty fast. The GT3 is a car that would be hard to drive everyday at regular speeds… It is a car built for one purpose: racing. Yeah, I still want one.

I just made the drive from Monterey to san Diego with my porsche.. but it was being pulled on my trailer by my truck
it was a great week in Nor Cal... and an even better 2 days I spent at laguna Seca!

Left NorCal back in 2006...not a day goes by that I don't dream of going back.
Congrats on your CS...FWIW, I like its more understated look and all-around abilities compared to the GT3. Driving on a track, as you've pointed out on the other hand...
