I did launch control when I test drove my car, but I dont want to do it
any more since I bought it.

In that video, the 0-80 run, it sounds as if the car slips or bogs down in first, doesn't really go anywhere, then gains some traction. Looks violent.

I could be totally off base here, but I think the second run did not successfully use launch control. The words "launch control" should appear in the dashboard once you set for sport plus (which it is) hold the breaks and floor it. At least is how it happens with mine. But again, I could be totally off...

It does appear between 14 seconds and 18 seconds, but just very briefly.
