I can tell you , i have a fully tricked out with F77 package C2 997 06, it has 80k miles and runs like a timex. Never tracked, Highway miles, it is trouble free. If i decide to trade/sell when the 998 comes out, this car would be incredible to anyone.

 

your trouble when selling it for 998 is the high miles - you may have close to 100k by then - not many buyers will care about 100k mile car - ofcourse, they will at the right price

Well, good news (or bad, depending on your perspective):

What's most likely going to happen is she is going to put 30K in a CD and we're going to play around w/ 10K in stocks. I know at her age she should be putting that 10K into something more conservative, but what the hell; she was planning to day trade after she retires. I'm going to buy some investment books; this is a good time to learn how the stock market works, I guess.

I had a feeling she didn't want a car... oh well. It was nice knowing a 997 could have been in the garage.
