If this is a Gen-II 997S w/X-51, it should be delivering closer to 350 wheel HP or thereabouts (with some variance from dyno to dyno). Crank HP is 408 from memory.

The result is likely so far down due to totally inadequate cooling during the dyno run. There don't appear to be any fans to control air intake temps and there also doesn't seem to be any fans targetted at the radiator ducts at the front of the car. Whether this accounts for a 40BHP loss, I'm not sure, but everything I've read suggests the latest ECUs are far less tolerant of less-than-ideal conditions than older units.

I'd be interested to hear anyone else's take on this one - particularly the tuning firms out there.

This is an X-51. Gen-1 should have about 330 wheel HP, Gen-II about 350

It is a 997.1, it seems a tad low for an X51 engine even though there are no fans or cooling. The weather is about 77 degree Fahrenheit so that also makes a difference...
