Rear bumper removal is so easy...It takes me 10-15 minutes to remove it!
Don't forget the two bolts(one on each side)inside the rear wheel well area.
If you need a bumper and or decklid I have a spare one sitting in Arizona, that I could sell cheap.

great - this is part of my problem solved - i am now keen to see where any wiring channels are as will need to get some wiring back up to behind the rear seats as i'm looking to install a parking sensor retrofit.

I have 2 997 perfect cond. rear bumpers. One painted black (off my car) and another brand new from the factory still in the grey primer, never installed on a car. Email me at nickmroz@sbcglobal.net I'll send you a few photos. I also have perfect cond. tail lights. Because your a 6speed-er I'll hook you up on a nice price. I also have the factory rear decklid if you need it.

How did the rear parking assist retrofit go? I am also interested in doing this but can't find too much info. My dealer pointed an aftermarket product but I don't like the look of those sensors sticking out of the bumper.
