What size rear tires do you run
Just got new set of 19" wheels and the dealer recommended 295/25ZR19 on my 11" wide rims on the back. The front looks fine on 235/35ZR19 but somehow the rear tire just looks small to me. What size tires do you run on your rear ?
I'm not sure, I wasn't asked or given a choice when I ordered the wheels. I just ordered 7mm spacers for the back and lowering springs so that should help but it appears quite a few people are running 305/30's which would not only be wider but have a higher profile than what I got on. Now I'm wondering if my rear's are the right size tires ?
305/30/19, may go to a 315/30/19 though, i have 11.5 in the rear, the dealer said i can go for it without any problems....

295/30 ZR19 or 305/30 ZR19's are correct for that wheel and general street use. I recommmend the 295's for 2-wheel drive. They're less expensive and provide better balance (marginally less understeer) than the 305's. Visually, if you can tell the difference, you've got better eyes than I do. I have both for my '09 C2S and, even side-by-side, don't see the 10mm difference in width.
Hey thanks alot guys, I've had my Porsche for a couple of years now and I have been happy with it so I really haven't been interested or looked at any upgrades until recently. Just got an 09 V8 Vantage a few months back but still love my 997 so I thought it's time to give her some extra attention. Learning lots here with all your help and with the rims, tire (correct tire), lowering kit and 7mm rear spacers, I think she'll look as handsome next to the Vantage. Won't sound as loud but it certainly sings it's own tunes.
25 series on 19" is too short, 30 series on 19" rears (295/30 (88.5mm sidewall) 305/30 (91.5mm sidewall))
295/25 would be 73.75mm sidewall, WAYYYY too short, 25 series rear would be proper if you had 20" wheels however.
