I will agree that they can drive better, but I dont like their show better. I laugh my butt off when watching Topgear. I love the cars they show and the interesting "tests" they do with them. The show doesnt care to be just a car review program.

Wow i just voted and so many more people agree with JC. That is hard to beleive, but the vast majority of people cant afford one anyways, so their views are skewed simply by the fact that they cannot have one.

All joking aside, so many people hate things just because they cannot have them. I cannot have an F-car but in no way to I hate them. Most people dont think as hard about cars as we do but look at things like houses. People hate other people because they have a bigger house cause they can afford it. That is just stupid to dislike something just because you do not have the means to obtain it yourself.

That is one of the seven sins...envy.

I like most cars, and really like Lambo's and Ferrari's, however I doubt I will ever have the $ to own one.

It is not a matter of having $ to buy it - question is what to do with it afterwards. Porsche is quite unique in the way as it is more or less usable car for daily routines, Ferrari is not, it is purely a collector item.

Some people like to collect cars and keep them in garages or show rooms instead of driving them, there is nothing wrong in that, perhaps. To each their own.

Pavel, you and I finally agree on one thing

I would realistically need a lot of money to spend on a Ferrari or Lambo, as the extra money to move from a Porsche to one of them. The Porsche is such a easy car to use every day and then drive to the track and be very fast there. However I have seen a number of Ferrari's (including a M16 Scuderia) on the track. There is something special about the Italian cars, that makes me stop and look at them when ever I see one.

I've been looking at fairly low mile F360's recently, quite tempted to chop the 911 in against one in the coming months. You can find good ones, with less than 10k on them, all services completed etc for $70's now. That's a lot of car for $70-80k, especially if it's a weekend toy. I know they're more expensive to run and I certainly wouldn't be using it every day but I was surprised how "affordable" they've become.

Heh, we are in agreement much more often than you think... I am just more careful to details, devil is in the details, you know...

Get a quote on a clutch replacement, make sure you are sitting down first. The 360 is a nice car, but dollar for dollar you can get more out of the Porsche IMO.

$6k tops and I'd be going 6 speed anyway, not F1. To me that's not that bad, it's certainly no where near as bad as the 355 was!

But let me put it another way, if instead I decide to put $30-40k to my 911 to get a new one, in 2/3 years it will yet again be worth $40k. The 360 has already taken most of its depreciation, I could drive that for the next 5 years and probably lose $5-10k at worst.

I'm not saying it's the answer, but what are your thoughts on that?
