ROW car height

Hi,

could somebody who has non-pasm lowered car with aftermarket coilovers post actual measured height from lower part of outside edge of front/rear fenders down to pavement?

jj123van is infamous around these parts
Here are some before and after photos. 1) Ground to Front Fender Edge 2) Ground to Front Lip.

I have a Non-PASM 997.2 C2, installed the KW V3 coilovers.

From looking at the adjustment coils, I probably can lower it another inch. (But it'll be annoying for daily driving).

Just a word of advice. Take these measurements from the fenderwell to the middle of the wheel. This will eliminate inconsistencies in tread depth, inflation, wheels, etc. Fender to ground is not so accurate, especially when we're talking about differences of only about 1/2 an inch.

that is true.

I have not decided yet for how much I will drop it, most likely I will do it all myself and will determine final hight based on available front clearence of my driveway.

fun fun fun. too bad I cannot do aligment myself. my grandfather knew how to do it with simple diy wooden cage but I am not that crafty...

I recently had Damptronics put on my PASM car, and dropped it about 5/8" all around. With new "ROW Performance" alignment and corner balance, it is a different (and even better) car. Mine is a daily driver, and I haven't had any major scraping issues at this height.

Heh, Bob is still hiding somewhere. May be will see him in couple of weeks - may be on may 23rd event.

JIC coils I put on should be close enough to Motons (non very street friendly), Bob`s car got Eibach springs I presume, so, it is not exactly same thing... Plus my suspension is not yet done, I still have some things to do to it.

Bob has our full stage 3 suspension, which includes PSS coils our sways and all proper links... The Cross coilovers are decent shocks, but they are not in the A shock category(Jrz, moton, ohlin...). JIC runs incredibly high spring rates though.

I was in agreement to pick up a set of slightly used Motons for a very very decent price but that deal didn`t work out. Ce la vie.

So I will track it on JICs for now, still should be better than stock setup.
Your level 3 suspension is very nice, for some reason I was under assumption Bob had level 1 setup done.

Paul,
Sent you, MickFluff, Matt(inMA) and thealexman a note suggesting we get together next week, some evening, along 495. I have the TPC stage 3 suspension and you can see it firsthand (along with the turbo!).
Bob

You need to do your measurments on the suspension and not body parts like the fender well.

i have proper numbers from workshop manual, but for most people it is easier to drop tape to the ground and for my purposes it will work as i just needed something to compare to after.

Yup, the suspension was measured with precision calipers at the time of installation.

But for most of us who are trying to get rid of the wheel gap, I think it's more relevant to reference to body work.

Just what I think.
