First DIY mod

Well, actually changing to clear side markers was my first DIY but that was too easy to count. Just installed the Fabspeed CAI and a BMC filter. Advice and instructions on this website were extremely helpful. It seems like these things probably "perform" better when you put them in yourself but that might just be part of the fun of modding. A few thoughts on the recent install:
1. the red Fabspeed CAI can be tricky; its much stiffer than the stock air hose so it takes some finesse to get it in place
2. the vacuum hose was much harder to pull out than I expected but not a major problem
3. the oil spout over the airbox took me the longest to get snapped back in; came out fine but had to keep fiddlling with the bracket to get it to fit back in.

Next up is my Borla exhaust. Seems easy enough to do but I dont have a lift so it may be too tight a squeeze to do it myself.

I did my own install of a Tubi exhaust. I did put some small jack stands under rear, but I did not take off bumper and the whole thing took a total of 3 hours, and Im real slow. it was easy. Only other thing I took off was a strut type thing on each rear fender area that was kinda in the way of muffler removal. I bought it from Renn-1 and they were good to call if I have any problems.

Got some pics.? That's one piece I'd like to put on. Do you think heating up the tube with a hair dryer would make it more pliable and easier to install? Does it sound better with the resonator blocked off, etc.?

Yes, pics coming. No, heating will not help. Its plenty big enough at each end; its the length and the crampedness of the engine bay that makes it tough. The throttle body is fixed in place and you really have to rock the airbox back to get the tube in there to fit it in place. Once in, its a great fit. Noticed some difference in sound but I just like the way it looks. Put the BMC filter in at the same time.
